What is a Cantor?
St. Augustine said, “He who sings prays twice.”
Cantors are a vital part of our community here at St. Pancras! The cantor (or leader of song in the Catholic Church) leads the congregation in public worship of God.* Cantors at St. Pancras explore wonderful hymnody (chant and metrical hymns) and, occasionally throughout the year, are invited to put on special performances. Our team of dedicated volunteer cantors sings masses every weekend, on a rotating schedule.
